1. General provisions

1.1 Scope

This return and refund policy applies to all purchases made through our online store mekede.de and supplements the provisions set forth in our Terms and Conditions.

1.2 Statutory cancellation rights

As a consumer, in addition to our voluntary return policy, you have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with the provisions of the German Civil Code (BGB).


2. Our 30-day return policy

2.1 Return period

We grant you a voluntary return period of 30 days from the date of receipt of the goods. This period applies in addition to your statutory cancellation rights.

2.2 Calculation of the deadline

The return period begins on the day on which you or a third party designated by you (not the carrier) takes possession of the goods.

3.2 Return authorization

Important: All returns require our prior approval. Do not return any items without our express consent. We will send you a Return Authorization (RMA) number and further instructions within 2 business days.

3.3 Return address

The return address will be communicated to you with the return authorization. Please only use the address we provide.


4. Condition of the returned goods

4.1 Packaging requirements

Returned items must contain:

  • Original packaging (if available)
  • All labels and tags
  • Complete accessories and components
  • Operating instructions and documentation
  • RMA number clearly visible on the package

4.2 Condition requirements

The goods must be in a condition that allows remarketing:

  • No obvious signs of wear
  • Complete and undamaged
  • Functional and in original condition

4.3 Permitted Use

Allowed:

  • Unpacking and inspecting the goods
  • Trial installation for testing purposes
  • Slight handling marks during testing

Not allowed:

  • Intensive use beyond testing
  • Damage caused by improper handling
  • Removal of serial numbers or labels

5. Processing fees

5.1 Wear and tear fee

In case of obvious signs of wear that go beyond a normal inspection, we reserve the right to charge a wear and tear fee:

Fee rates:

  • 5% of the purchase price - for slight signs of wear
  • 10% of the purchase price - in case of obvious signs of wear

No fees for:

  • Original packaging and minimal test marks
  • Damage caused by manufacturer defects or transport damage

5.2 Evaluation criteria

The assessment is based on objective criteria:

  • External condition of the product
  • Functionality
  • Completeness of accessories
  • Resaleability

6. Return costs

6.1 Cost allocation

Return costs are borne by the customer:

  • Revocation without specific reason
  • Subjective dissatisfaction
  • Wrong purchase or size/color change

Return costs are borne by MN Trading GmbH:

  • Product defects or defects
  • Incorrect deliveries on our part
  • Transport damage
  • Warranty cases

6.2 Coverage of costs

In case of justified complaints, we will reimburse you for the return shipping costs upon presentation of the shipping receipt.


7. Refunds

7.1 Processing time

After receiving and inspecting your return, we will process the refund within 3-7 business days .

7.2 Refund method

The refund will be made via the original method of payment :

  • Credit card: Credit to the card used
  • PayPal: Refund to the PayPal account
  • Transfer: Transfer back to the original account

7.3 Bank processing times

The actual credit may take additional time depending on the bank and payment provider. This is beyond our control.

7.4 Partial refunds

For partial returns of multiple orders:

  • Proportional refund of the value of the goods
  • Shipping costs are treated according to the cost allocation
  • Shipping costs already paid will only be refunded if the item is returned in full

8. Exchange and replacement

8.1 Exchange service

We offer a free exchange for:

  • Size or color change (subject to availability)
  • Defective or faulty products
  • Incorrect deliveries

8.2 Guarantee and warranty

3-year quality guarantee:

  • Free repair for manufacturer defects
  • Replacement delivery in case of irreparable damage
  • Full coverage of costs in warranty cases

8.3 Procedure in case of damage

If you receive damaged goods:

  1. Immediate notification by email with photos
  2. Do not use damaged goods
  3. Free replacement or repair
  4. All shipping costs are borne by MN Trading GmbH

In case of customer fault:

  • Repair costs are borne by the customer
  • Replacement delivery at regular price
  • Return of defective goods required

9. Exclusions and limitations

9.1 Non-returnable items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Custom-made products
  • Products with removed serial numbers
  • Severely damaged or incomplete items

9.2 Delayed returns

Returns after the 30-day period can only be accepted in exceptional cases and after individual inspection.

9.3 Undeliverable costs

Non-refundable costs already paid:

  • Shipping costs to forwarding agents or postal service providers
  • Processing fees from payment providers
  • Customs duties and taxes (for international shipments)

These costs cannot be refunded for returns if they have already been forwarded to third parties and are no longer recoverable.


10. International Returns (EU)

10.1 EU-wide return

Customers from EU countries can return items under the same conditions as German customers.

10.2 Shipping conditions

  • Returns from other EU countries to the German address
  • Customs clearance: Declare as "Returned Goods"
  • Enclose original invoice

10.3 Tax treatment

VAT:

  • In case of complete return: refund including 19% VAT.
  • VAT will be refunded according to the original invoice

Customs duties and taxes:

  • There are no additional customs duties within the EU
  • Any postal processing fees are to be borne by the sender
  • Returns from non-EU countries may incur additional costs

10.4 Currency and exchange rates

  • Refunds will be made in the original invoice currency
  • In the event of currency fluctuations, we do not accept any compensation for differences

11. Special situations

11.1 Incorrect deliveries

In case of incorrect deliveries on our part:

  • Immediate free collection of the incorrect items
  • Free delivery of the correct items
  • Coverage of all costs incurred

11.2 Transport damage

In case of transport damage:

  • Report damage immediately upon receipt
  • Documentation with photos
  • Replacement delivery at no additional cost

11.3 Delays

If delivery is delayed for more than 30 days, you have the right:

  • To withdraw from the contract
  • To demand a full refund
  • Covering costs for alternative procurement
